Dr. Olson graduated from Kansas State University in 1972. He spent two years in Elkhart, Ind., before moving back to Lawrence in 1974 to establish the Clinton Parkway Animal Hospital. After 43 years at CPAH, Dr. Olson retired from seeing patients in 2017 but continues to assist in managing the practice.
Dr. Olson has been a board member of the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association, Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, president of the Douglas County Veterinary Association and an area director for the American Animal Hospital Association.
Dr. Olson and his wife Sue have three pets — Brody, a yellow lab, Gunnar, a black lab, and Harley, a grey tiger cat. He and Sue have five granddaughters and four grandsons. The Olson's recently started exploring the country in their RV, and enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking and fly fishing.
