Dr. Olson, hospital director of CPAH, graduated from Kansas State University in 1972. He spent two years in Elkhart, Ind., before moving back to Lawrence in 1974 to establish the Clinton Parkway Animal Hospital. After 43 years at CPA, Dr. Olson retired from seeing patients in 2017 but continues to actively manage the practice.
Dr. Olson has been a board member of the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association, Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, president of the Douglas County Veterinary Association and an area director for the American Animal Hospital Association.
Dr. Olson and his wife Sue have three pets — Brody, a yellow lab, Gunnar, a black lab, and Harley, a grey tiger cat. He and Sue have four married daughters, five granddaughters, and three grandsons. The Olson's enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and backpacking and spending weekends at a small farm near LaCygne, Kansas.
